How To Be Ulzzang ?

Ulzzang is a South Korean slang term that literally translates to “best face”. Being that said, ulzzangs are known for emulating Korean beauty standards. ( Large eyes, small lips, high nose bridges, ect. ) Many ulzzangs have become clothing models, or even better yet actors. Some have even become singers.

Things You’ll Need:

• foundation
• finishing powder
• thick brush to apply powder(such as a Kubuki brush)
• black liquid eyeliner
• fake eyelashes
• eye tape/eye glue (optional)
• Circle lenses in any color
• black mascara
• black soft pencil eyeliner
• white eyeshadow or shadow stick
• silver eye glitter pen
• blush (optional)
• clear or pink lipgloss
• tweezers, or eyebrow waxing
• hair curler
• cute outfit
• painted nails

5 Little Steps:

Step 1: Get circle lenses after asking your parents for permission. These will give off the illusion of large eyes, even if you have small eyes. If you’ve ever wondered why Korean people have such cute, large eyes, they probably wear circle lenses.

Step 2: Wear cute clothes. Girls often wear graphic tees and slightly oversized sweaters with sneakers. Boys usually wear skinnies with fitted graphic tees, or sweaters with sneakers. Add glasses if you want.

Step 3: Do eyeliner and apply mascara to the tip of your eyelashes. Pick a color that matches a small color of your outfit for eyeshadow. Wear lip-gloss. (It has severalvariants. You can create your own ulzzang makeup! Mix Mix Mix :3 ♥)

Step 4: Get the correct hairstyle. This will help you get the look, for hair is one of the other places besides the face that eyes will normally be attracted to

• Boys: Have a layered short (not too short) cut with side-swept bangs.
• Girls: Have straight bangs, or side-swept bangs with either straight or loosely curled hair. It doesn’t matter what length your hair is.
• Color: Any color is fine, get one that suits you.

Step 5: Get a cellphone with a camera to take pictures. You could also just a camera to take pictures with. ^O^

Tips & Warnings ~! ♥

• Get circle lenses that look best in your skin color. Mostly, black, brown, and gray look good in any skin tone.
• Do not photoshop pictures heavily, if possible, avoid it.
• Stay away from any circle lense that says “Hypercircle” or “Hyperlens”. These will give you the scary alien eye look.
• Practice practice practice with makeup and looks. Look online, blogs, magazine scans, and other ulzzang girls for ideas.
• Have fun and be cute!
